We have a pool of pediatric private duty nurses who are highly skilled in providing both medical and personal care to maximize your child’s overall wellness.

What Parents Can Expect from Our Nursing Team

  • All nursing team members will respect the privacy of your family and maintain the confidentiality of all personal and health care information.
  • We recognize that nurses’ occasional absence from work due to illness, personal circumstances, vacations and/or unexpected staff absence may occur, however, we will make every effort to fully provide staffing for the schedule of your choice.
  • You will be provided with your nurse’s work schedule monthly.
  • Pediatric Care Managers will make home visits every 30 days as mandated by the state of Michigan and the client’s insurance providers. This also ensures that Faith Cares, Inc. remains compliant with CHAP guidelines.
  • Nursing team members will be competent, respectful and caring.
  • Private duty pediatric nurses will follow clients’ house rules as necessary.
  • Emergency preparedness plan for care nurses to follow in the event of emergencies such as power outage or a significant change in your child’s physical condition.
  • Pediatric Care Managers will visit your home only at a time that is convenient for you, to discuss your child’s care, any concerns you may have, and help you to access other services and resources you may need and to offer support.
  • You and the Pediatric Care Manager collaboratively evaluate the nurses who care for your child.
  • The Pediatric Care Manager is available on call 24 hours daily for parents to discuss any concerns; Managers will always be available and willing to help advocate for additional services and/or resources your child may need.
  • You have the opportunity to meet and interact with and approve the nurse that will care for your child before the commencement of services. No nurse will be assigned to care for your child without your approval.
  • You may request for a nursing team conference to discuss your child’s care at any time.
